We set out by catamaran for Cayo Blanco and an encounter with dolphins. The wind knocked us about throughout the journey, but the colour of the water and the island’s natural beauty made the difficult crossing worthwhile.
That evening we ate at Varadero 60. With live rock music, an American-style menu and generous portions, it was another of the privately run restaurants that gave us one of the journey’s better meals.
