At the foot of the Andes

On our last day in Santiago, we went to the rich neighborhoods of the city. La Dehesa, Lo Barnechea... The houses on the slopes of the Andes overlooking the city remind us of suburbs in America. One or two storey houses, with gardens, garages and well-maintained houses. The only difference is that they are all surrounded by electric wires. When the income distribution is this high, you can go away and isolate yourself as much as you want, but you still don't feel safe.

Then we had coffee at Vitacura and completed our Santiago tour.

We left with the feeling of luxury shops, upper income lifestyle, “rich Santiago”.
