After breakfast, we left the hotel and came to Colombo. This is a place where multi-storey hotels and business centers are located by the sea. I'm glad we visited the interior of the island and came here. Otherwise, we would know Sri Lanka only as a place of irregular, jumbled high-rise buildings walling off the beach.
At the end of the six-day journey, the rainy rocks of Sigiriya, the sacred memory of Kandy, the tea hills of Nuwara Eliya and the walls of Galle opening to the ocean remained with us.
