One day we go fishing. Our captain is wonderfully friendly. We troll, yet once again the fish we catch is a bottom-dwelling species. We take it to a nearby restaurant and eat it as fresh as it could possibly be. The sea, clouds and view are magnificent.
We do not forget to buy a Hawaiian shirt and a piece of jewellery made from coral cultivated in the ocean. Mahalo, Hawaiʻi. Our journey home begins with a flight to New York, which alone takes nearly ten hours. On the way back, we realise once again just how far from home we have travelled.
