In the morning we passed İçmeler and Turunç before reaching Kumlubük. Along the shore we saw the place known as Hollandalı Ahmet’in Yeri and Kumlubük Yacht Club.
We had planned to continue towards Çiftlik, but the wind was against us, so we changed course and stayed in Serçe Limanı instead. The water was an extraordinary thirty degrees. Pufferfish moved beneath the boat, while goats came down towards the shore and became the day’s unexpected visitors. The change of plan turned out to be a gift: Serçe Limanı was sheltered, memorable and much more peaceful than forcing the original route would have been.
