Returning to Selimiye

In the morning we set out for Selimiye. Our eight-day journey came to an end after a route filled with sheltered bays, shared tables, repeated attempts at fishing, warm seas and time spent together.

In the morning we set out for Selimiye. Our eight-day journey came to an end after a route filled with sheltered bays, shared tables, repeated attempts at fishing, warm seas and time spent together.

The diary closes with this short passage, but the route behind it was anything but small: from Marmaris and Kumlubük to Serçe Limanı, Bozukkale, Bozburun, Dirsekbükü, Bencik and Kocabahçe. Returning to Selimiye brought all those stops into a single remembered journey—one shaped as much by changing winds and unexpected decisions as by the places we had planned to see.
