Serçe Limanı truly feels like a natural harbour. The water was clear, although cold currents occasionally rose from below. Pufferfish seemed to be everywhere, and the air temperature reached forty degrees.
Selen and I went fishing, but we caught nothing. At the entrance to the harbour we saw two wrecks and looked towards the place known as Nemo’nun Yeri from a distance. Later we managed to catch squid. When darkness settled over the bay, the soundscape changed completely: instead of engines and voices, we heard donkeys calling from the shore. It was one of those days when small details—cold water beneath warm water, fish that would not bite and sounds travelling across a quiet bay—became the lasting memories.
